FAQ 1 Where is the course located
The course is located off junction on the M8 south of Mitchelstown. From the M8 motorway Exit at Junction 13 direction Lynch Army Camp, Fermoy, Kilworth
SAT NAV co-ordinates 52.226603, -8.277703.
From N 73 Mallow and R 513 Limerick follow direction signs around Mitchelstown.
FAQ 2 What is the course like?
The course is a Cross Country course constructed form both natural and man made obstacles. The course is approx 6 km in length (you may do a 2nd laps for free at time of booking). It will involves walking/ running, crawling, climbing. You will get wet and muddy, that is the objective.
The course is designed to be suitable for all reasonably fit male and females. Most obstacles can be bypassed, but you will still get wet and muddy.
FAQ 3 What should I wear ?
No phones, watches, jewelry or headphones etc. on the course
No football boots, no spikes on the course Please.
Wear old clothing light/ tight fitting, leggings, tops, etc. and training shoes. Heavy cotton clothing is not suitable -these get very heavy when wet
Bring your own towels and wipes and plastic bag to bring home your own muddy wet clothing.
Fancy dress – why not? As long as it is not expected to be clean afterwards!
Event t- shirts will be available for on-line registered participants.
FAQ 4 Will there be Car parking ?
Yes. We are providing Free parking. Both on and off road parking will be available.

FAQ 5 Can I shower when I finish the course?
We will be providing a shower area. This will be indoors ! We will have warm showers.
FAQ 6 Where Can I store my belongings ?
A key drop area will be available for participants; car keys and 1 phone only. A supervised area for bags will be available, no responsibility for the content will be taken. This area will be supervised. Kit bags left at participants own risk. No valuables in your kit bags please.
FAQ 7 Will spectators be welcome ?
Spectators are welcome but children must be under the care of a responsible adult at all times. Please note that this is a working farm NOT a play area and participants, spectators and family are requested NOT to interfere with the farm animals in anyway and to take all rubbish home or use the bins provided.
FAQ 8 Will there be First Aid on site ?
First Aid will be provided, but do have some plasters etc. in your car.
FAQ 9 Will food & Refreshment be available for sale ?
All participants will get fresh fruit and water at the end line. Hot food will be available in Mitchelstown approx 3 Km from the event.
FAQ 10 I have registered on-Line, What time do I Check in on the day ?
Registration opens at 9.30 am.
Pre-registered participants must bring along a copy of their registration email
Participants should plan to arrive approx. 45 mins to 1.0 hrs before their registered wave time.
Team Registration: Team Captains only to register on behalf of the team and collect team event numbers etc. from the registration area.
FAQ 11 IS personal accident Insurance provided for each participant?
This event is insured, however Personal Accident/Injury insurance is not provided for participants injured going to/from the event or at any stage before, during, after, on/off the course of the event. This event is one in which you should make yourself fully aware of the risks before you enter and take part. Your entry is conditional on you accepting the waiver and the risks. If you require personal accident/injury insurance cover, please make your own arrangements to take out a suitable policy to meet your requirements.
